Power, sex and lack of freedom in a prison in Chile in the 1970s.
San Bernardo, Chile, 1970. During a drunken shower, Jaime, a lonely and narcissistic 20-year-old boy, stabs his best friend to death in what turns out to be a flurry of passion. Sentenced to spend years in prison, he is placed in a cell with four other men and comes under the protection of “The Stallion”, an elderly and respected man who sets all the informal rules in prison. In prison, Jaime learns all about loyalty and ‘black love’, as it is called in prison, and is confronted with a violent power struggle.
