Tender and bittersweet debut about that one first love
The 14-year-old Bastien travels with his mother and younger brother to a cabin at a lake in Canada. There they spend the summer with another family. Bastien gets more and more intrigued by the 16-year-old Chloé, a moody teenager who escapes her parents supervision as often as she can. Despite the age difference Chloé is charmed by Bastien and a bond starts to grow. At the end of this idyllic holiday an incident leads to a crucial change in the life of the young Bastien.
Canadian actress Charlotte Le Bon based her excellent debut on the graphic novel of Bastien Vivès; her movie premiered at the Cannes Filmfestival.
