Zijn er ook Oscars voor korte films? Jazeker!

Hoewel tijdens de met glitter en glamour omhangen uitreikingsceremonie de grote Amerikaanse speelfilms domineren, mogen we zeker de korte films niet vergeten. Ook zij verdienen de aandacht. In de korte film zijn jonge, talentvolle filmmakers actief die durven te experimenteren en vernieuwend te werk gaan. Dit jaar dingen er wederom een aantal korte juweeltjes mee voor de meest prestigieuze filmprijs van het jaar.

In dit programma vertonen wij alle genomineerden in de categorie ‘Best Animation Short Film’. Daarnaast vertonen we om 21:00 uur ook een programma met de genomineerden in de categorie ‘Best Live Action Short Film’. Een passepartout voor de hele avond kost €15,00 en is te reserveren via info@ketelhuis.nl.

Animal Behaviour
Alison Snowden and David Fine / Canada 2018 / 14’
Dealing with what comes naturally isn’t easy, especially for animals. In ‘Animal Behaviour’, five animals meet regularly to discuss their inner angst in a group therapy session led by Dr. Clement, a canine psychotherapist.

Weekends’ is the story of a young boy shuffling between the homes of his recently divorced parents. Surreal dream-like moments mix with the domestic realities of a broken up family in this hand-animated film set in 1980’s Toronto.
