Trieste, summer of 2007. Confident, Swedish-born Fredrika has just moved to the Italian coastal city and finds herself in a class full of boys at a technical high school. She immediately becomes the center of attention, and not just because of her intelligence and knowledge. Over time, she builds a friendship with an inseparable trio: the fascinating and modest Antero, the extroverted casanova Pasini, and the sweet, protective Mitis. Together, they explore the streets of Trieste, party, reflect on the future, share secrets, and discover new feelings. Their final school year will mark them forever.
Un anno di scuola is the second film by director Laura Samani. After her debut film premiered at the Cannes Film Festival, this film premiered in Venice, where it won the award for Best Actor. Laura Samani is considered a director of the future of Italian cinema.
