Ketelhuis Expat
A family drama co-written by Shih-Ching Tsou and Sean Baker, following a mother and her two daughters confronting secrets and new beginnings in Taipei.
Single mother Shu-Fen and her two daughters, teenage I-Ann and five-year-old I-Jing, return to Taipei after spending years living in the countryside. All three face major challenges. Shu-Fen has to clean up the mess left behind by her ex while working herself to the bone at a food stall, and I-Ann wants to stand on her own two feet but keeps making the wrong choices. When the left-handed I-Jing is forced by her traditional grandfather to stop using what he calls her “devil hand,” family secrets spanning three generations suddenly begin to unravel.
