A student in modern Mongolia needs to find his balance between his spriritual life as a shaman and his personal desires
The 17-year-old sweet-natured Ze leeds a life of various roles. Within his community he is a spiritual shaman who communicates with the spirits of his ancestors. At school he is a model student who gets the highest grades. The balance in his life is disrupted when he meets the same-aged Maralaa during a shamanic ritual. They become quite crazy about each other, wjile they explore the life of modern Ulaanbatar together. This fuels emotional and physical desires and he has to juggle between tradition and modernity, as well as his communal duties and his personal desires.
