A bizarre, unusual road movie on the critical issue of adoption

In Italy, Law 184 of 1983 stipulates that adopted children cannot have access to the data of their birth parents, and this for a century. For young lawyer Giovanni (Valerio Lundini), not being able to know the names of his birth parents is a blatant injustice, so he works with an association fighting to change the law. To achieve the goal, the association sends him to persuade centenarian Gustavo (Sergio Castellitto, excellent as usual in his role) to meet the minister of internal affairs. Thus begins an unusual road movie involving two generations light years apart. Even with all their idiosyncrasies and differences, the two will be forced to walk a piece of the road together, learning to know and respect each other. The film is based on a play by the director and has participated in the Giffoni Film Festival 2023 (Best Film Award Generator Section), Ajaccio Italian Film Festival 2023, Cinema Italian Style – Seattle 2023, and Villerupt Italian Film Festival 2023.
