Successful forty-year-old conductor Julia and her partner yearn for a child. At an exclusive private clinic, a fertility specialist promises a solution through an experimental treatment that ultimately leads to a pregnancy. However, the birth is chaotic, and their newborn is immediately taken away for further care, without a clear explanation. When mother and child are later reunited, Julia experiences a disturbing disconnect.
